Honestly, I can't blame people for feeling this way because throwing up and bulimia obviously go hand-in-hand. Additionally, I'm sure there were people out there who felt triggered by the performance. What I have a problem with is "it's not cool or artsy". Gaga was covered in green and black vomit, it wasn't meant to look cool, it was meant to be a personal statement about herself and what she has gone through. It's also art because, well, Millie Brown is an acclaimed performance artist and throwing up is what she does.

Plenty of news sources, including Rolling Stone, are referring to it as art. You don't have to like it, but it was performance art. You can think its terrible all you want, but that doesn't change what it was.
