All this Tinashe love! She's so underrated. If people looked beyond "2 On" I think they'd be really surprised at what Tinashe could do. She's incredible!

I love a lot of your other choices as well but I'm just very pro-Tinashe right now so she's pretty much all I'm focusing on.

81 is definitely Robyn, and 80 is definitely The End by Shlohmo and Jeremih!

You called it with Banks or Hozier. I didn't like one, but the other was amazing.

My biggest regret this year was getting into Lykke too late It's not her.

Not going to lie. I've been listening to her album more than ever recently. Nobody else has been cutting it. Hopefully, the album gets her strong word of mouth and catches on somehow...

I felt the same way for awhile tbh. I thought it was just to prep you for the rest of the album, but it clicked.

Jessie Ware, master of voice control and smooth listenable vocals, is the one on the Crying Game. She makes the track shine.

I'm impressed! 80 is in fact The End. I love it. To me, it sounds like something that could fit on a more accessible version of LP1.

82. Angel Of Small Death And The Codeine Scene - Hozier - Hozier






holyground called it. Long title. Great song. It's a lot more rocking and poppy than Take Me To Church. It still maintains Hozier's gothic rock style though. It should be a single.
Fun Fact: I was originally going to make a Top 100 tracks, and forgot about Hozier, so I expanded it to 102 since I didn't want to boot anything.





81. Across The Water - Neneh Cherry - Blank Project






2014 was the year I finally got into Neneh Cherry after a couple years of wanting to. Across The Water was the standout of her excellent album to me. It's a sparse song where Cherry examines her current state of life: her mother's death, her daughter, it's a powerful little song that stays true to pop. It's a powerful song.




80. The End (feat. Chance The Rapper) - Shlohmo & Jeremih - No More






That beat alone is enough to justify it's place here and on any list. Jeremih may not have managed to get Late Nights out into the market, but him and producer Shlohmo to put out the excellent No More EP for free earlier in the year. The collab EP may feature two of the most annoying to spell artist names, but all 6 tracks were fantastic. The End was my favorite, almost like something that could be on a version of LP1 if LP1 was less art-inflicted.




79. coffee - Miguel - NWA.HollywoodDreams.Coffee






The coffee section of NWA.HollywoodDreams.Coffee and the strongest. It's sexy, earthy, but still bright. Miguel at his best. I could listen to it endlessly, hopefully that abrupt ending will lead to something even better when Miguel releases his second album...




78. Good Kisser - Usher - Good Kisser (Single) [UR Experience?]






"Usher what were you thinking?!" was my first thought. "This isn't a song. It's just random noises and thudding. Looking 4 Myself was so good too. Oh well." I listened a couple more times and it clicked. Good Kisser is warm, funky, and groovy grower of a song. Usher kind of served a couple progressive mainstream R&B tracks this year. Check the Disclosure remix for a different, but equally cool spin on the track.
