I was always surprised Roar only got two weeks at number one ... It's huge
It was like 1-10% away from being #1 like all 4 weeks it was behind Blurred Lines, and then I believe it was less than 5% away from #1 during Miley's 2nd week at #1 and also during Royals first week at #1. It was so close for about 6 of its weeks...
This week is likely "Counting Stars"' last chance to reach #2. It has the lead in sales over "The Monster" but "The Monster" has a slight lead in airplay. If it can overcome "The Monster"'a streaming, it could easily go #2.
If it doesn't make it to #2, it will likely be jumped by "Say Something" and/or "Dark Horse" in the next few weeks.

Well OneRepublic is performing on the PCA's tonight. So it may have a better shot even next week to go #2. It all depends on the ratings and how much impact ther performance has on iTunes
It mostly got blocked by Blurred Lines and Royals unfortunately It has like 8-9 weeks at #2

This is why i hate the Hot 100 formula... Roar was the biggest song atm selling 300k+ for several weeks, but other songs had more airplay since they released several months before her.
I like how Katy's two biggest songs (Firework & Roar) were #1 for only 4 and 2 weeks respectfully, yet she's had songs spend #1 longer like Cali Gulrs, I Kissed A Girl, & E.T.
I guess longevity is the key
