She wasn't even being shady, its not like she was laughing during the performance like J Lo was during Usher's performance. She isn't obligated to sing along and dance and literally nobody else was either. Its not like she was on her phone during the performance, she was giving Taylor the attention she warranted and she was being respectful.
Of course you would focus on Katy though, considering how much of a KatyCat you are.
And
of course you would try to turn watching a performance into something "catty".
