How is it exactly similar? I was gonna bet that Gaga is gonna have the biggest second-week drop ever by a million-selling artist, but now that its 7.99 in Best Buy-i will hold it. But really? The deep discounts in the first week front-loaded the sales by a lot, and I think they will quickly reach a plateau.

Well, according to her and her team, we are likely to see 6 more singles off of this album after The Edge of Glory. Not only that, but as reviews and user preferences have shown, there is a huge disagreement on what the most appealing songs on the album are.

This leads me to believe that each single is going to bring something new and appeal to a different group of people, despite the fact that they are clearly not all going to be #1 hits. In addition to that, I can assure you this album will be given heavy promotion over the next 12 months, and maybe even beyond. Her management team has already laid out basic plans for a 24-month promotional plan worldwide, so don't expect this album to just fade away. They definitely will let the heat die down a little bit now and focus more on singles and carving out niche consumers.

Lady Gaga stays on top for at least one more week but, as expected, her sales plummet in week two without the Amazon 99 cent deal. Adele continues her almost unprecedented run, at least in the recent state of the business. Look for it to be a battle in two weeks between the two divas for the #1 spot. Of note this week, RED has a possible four titles in next week's Top 10, with Sony nabbing six overall. Here's how it looks at midweek:
