I am having a hard time seeing where in this article Miley shifts the blame on Robin or makes it seem as though she had no idea. The article clearly states it [Blurred Lines performance] was a collaboration between the two in response to Robin acting like he had no idea what Miley and him were going to do given that both parties rehearsed it.

I think it was a big backlash, not only because she was Hannah Montana but also because the performance was terrible. The vocals sucked, there was no point to it, no artistry.. like she didn't even try. I think Cher and P!nk gave a good explanation on why they didn't like it is because it was a cop out to get people talking. There's a way to be controversial and shocking and put on a good show, see Madonna or Gaga. There would've been so much more support I think if she did wasn't looking for attention.
And didn't she admit she went overboard from practice and Robin didn't expect it? Does she change her personality all the time and drag her former self every year? She was the innocent Disney girl, I'm sure if Selena or Taylor did it there would be huge response as well so why is she surprised

Where in the article does it say Miley didn't plan this? The article states Miley's WCS performance was her idea. It says, in bold, that her performance with Robin was a collaboration. Miley goes on to say Robin approved of her outfit as he figured the more naked, the better.

She's not trying to say it's his responsability but she's saying that it's not only HER fault, since the media judged her for the performance and not Robin Thicke which was ALSO involved in everything that happened. That's what she's saying.

Miley's point isn't to put blame on Robin, but to point out that unlike people claimed he didn't know what was going to happen he infact knew what was going to to happen. He was in rehersals everyday just like she was. So for people to simply attack her isn't right, but she said she guess that comes with the territory of being a woman.
