IIn this scenario, I think that's a matter of just being irresponsible. Yes, it's a woman's body and I feel that the decision is hers and that one should (in most cases) support their choice. But she knew the consequences of having sex and to get an abortion just cause someone broke up with you is not only ridiculous, but a little twisted.

I agree, a person shouldn't have unprotected sex if they can't handle a child, but do you really think she should be stuck with a child she's not yet ready for, or as a single mother, for YEARS as a punishment or consequence?

INot only that, but it's bound to have severe psychological and emotional damage on her in the first place, and if she gets a wave of guilt afterwards, it could be really hard for her to cope.

Your right, there are often psychological consequences, but those consequences also potentially exists whether she keeps the baby, puts it up for adoption, or aborts it.

She just needs to understand how big that is.

I can agree on this. Though I don't think you should talk her down, as a sibling make sure she is informed on all her options and makes a clear decision. Then whether you necessarily agree with her or not, try to support it as best as you can.
