Give it a chance for people to get to know it again. It has a completely new formula and half a new panel. People just aren't interested enough to give it a shot just yet but when they see the exposure it's gotten for it's talent and the chemistry of the panel I think people will turn heads and change the channel over to it.

The focus is on the contestants now. Not the judges. That's how it should always be.

Just give it a chance for people to warm up to it. Star quality in it's talented contestants is it's main appeal right now and with performances the likes Lillie McCould delivered on last nights premiere, it's easy to see why.

Nobody is here for a tense pretentious arguing and low blows anymore. That's become generic and annoying. People wanna see a fun panel with chemistry and genuinity in finding superstars who have the spotlight on this show now. Just you wait... Ratings will pick up.



Britney was a boring sack of potatoes last year and that's why she's gone. Her name alone wasn't enough to save that show despite giving it it's lift at the beginning.

She left because she hated it, just like the majority of Americans. All singing shows are losing ratings. X-Factor will probably lose ratings since they'll have so much more competition soon.

The show needs star power, and judges that have that X factor they're looking for. There's a reason why season 1 did way better than last year.

Your math is completely backwards. If a two-hour premiere has an average of 6.2 million viewers, then for a one-hour premiere to have the same commercial power it would have to have an average of 12.4 million viewers.

Britney left because she wasn't good enough and she knew it. She's not a judge, she never was and she most likely never will be again after the lack-luster performance she displayed on that show.

No it doesn't. But it's only because they haven't got a big enough name for America to take an interest in the show just yet. But I see that changing when their interest is taken by the talent that's displayed on the show and the reviewing surrounding how well the panel get on. It seems much more like a family now and whole families will enjoy it when and if they do eventually tune in.

If the ratings don't see a lift by next week's one hour episode I will assume everyone has gone dormant and just don't care anymore. I'll eat my words. However, I just don't think all is lost just yet. A ****** start does not determine the overall outcome. We'll just have to wait and see.

It actually mostly gained viewers throughout the season, I mean it got viewers in the second week than its premiere week.

britney didn't do much for the show overall, but don't deny that the first few episodes was all her..the voice was huuge and with it sharing the same demographic as x factor, it obviously took a huge portion of viewers on the premiere date and yet the ratings were significantly higher than this year's. Just imagine if this year's premiere went up against the voice...

Getting rid of Demi is an absolute no no. Simon wanted her back because despite Britney's rigidity and staleness in her comments Demi was enough for everyone to find something to latch their eyes and ears on to. She provided insight, humor, heart, controversy, a fantastic squabble buddy for Simon and just great entertainment value. She was the show last year reguardless if she wasn't the biggest name there.

They get rid of Demi now and that show won't stand a chance anymore. It's out of the question to lose her.
