I would hope that Doll Domination would've sold more considering they had huge singles....

PCD's era was such a mess its kinda like Ciara's b/c their biggest hit was When I Grow Up & that was #10 just like LSM was & they still bombed
didnt Ciara sell more the first week tho?

When I Grow Up was a wayyyyyy bigger hit than LSM. I thought it sold like over 2 million & it lasted way longer. LSM didn't even sell 1 million.
Yeah i'm pretty sure Ciara opened with more. Now that I think about it......PCD's album basically dropped down the charts like Fantasy Ride and even AFTER they got that big hit "I Hate This Part", the album NEVER recovered.

I hope that Billboard can exempt Michael Jackson's albums from not re-entering. He really deserves it.

If anyone deserves an exception to the rule, it's him.

Hmm, Britney may have finally outsold Leona's Spirit.
Spirit last charted two weeks ago, with 1,561,674; if it sold exactly one copy less than the #200 album the last two weeks (and it probably sold less than that), that would add 2,661 & 2,791 = 1, 567,126 as the absolute maximum. Vs. Circus' 1,566,929. And even if that unlikely # is what Spirit's sold so it's slightly higher, the difference is so small (less than 200 copies) that possibly by this hour already Circus has moved ahead.
And the reason I care is because this would render Circus the top-selling pop album that was released in 2008...of course, in a few months, she may be passed up by a certain artist who started to explode in album sales this year, but yay for now; half a milli still separates them.

YOUR WEAKEND TOP 10 CHART PREVIEW: Not a triple-digit total in sight for next week, kiddies, unless something unexpected happens. If anybody’s gonna be celebrating, it’s Warner Bros., which shows signs of thawing out from its mini-Ice Age with three potential Top 10 debuts, though two is a better bet. Interscope stays warm with a possible trey of its own, while RCA has a shot for two, as Kings of Leon near critical mass. Here’s a snapshot of the late-June gloom:
Black Eyed Peas (Interscope) 90-95k
Jonas Brothers (Hollywood) 70-75k
Dave Matthews Band (RCA/RMG) 50-55k
Eminem (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope) 45-50k
* Regina Spektor (Warner Bros.) 40-45k
* Ginuwine (Asylum) 40-45k
Lady GaGa (Interscope) 35-40k
* Dream Theater (Roadrunner) 35-40k
Taylor Swift (Big Machine) 35-40k
Hannah Montana: The Movie (Walt Disney) 30-35k
* The Mars Volta (Warner Bros.) 30-35k
Kings of Leon (RCA/RMG) 30-35k
* Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Warner Bros.) 30-35k
* Denotes debut (6/26a)
Besides the top few, they're all really, really close.
At Pulse, people are speculating about not an exemption, since that would be a hard rule to implement consistently, but rather that catalog albums be allowed to chart, just like single-retailer albums were allowed the week Blackout came out. Given that no other albums currently have the chance at 100k, I think Billboard would most likely consider changing the rule iff MJ sold more than BEP.

That's pretty disappointing for the Transformers soundtrack. I'd expect at least 50k.
Dream Theater and The Mars Volta ^_^
