Madame Vastra and Jenny's chemistry is superb as usual.
Strax is hilarious.
Poor Clara though.
I thought the 12th Doctor showed such a quirky side:
"I am Scottish, am I? I've gone Scottish? Oh that's good! I can complain about things!"
"It's times like this I miss Amy" Clara the rebound girl, aka Martha 2.0
But then...
Another Impossible Girl reference...
Steampunk Clockwork Droid from the 51st Century, reminiscent of The Girl In The Fireplace.
Clara: "You've redecorated"
12th Doctor: "Yes"
Clara: "I don't like it"
The ending with Clara though!
Welcome to heaven!
I'll give this episode: 7/10
Off to a good start.
Something about 12th is off though, I haven't warmed up to him unlike 11th which I loved at the end of "The Eleventh Hour".
I gave in and watched it too. It's a great episode, and for me it's back to its best. The show seems more grounded on companionship and everything feels a lot stronger that 7. The writing has gone up a notch and Jenna actually got a chance to shine. Capaldi's Doctor is brilliant as well.
Peter Capaldi is such an amazing actor (watch UK drama/comedy The Thick of it if you havent already) but i'm just not excited about this cuz moffat is so bad
Capaldi grew on me as the Doctor this episode. He's really different than 11th and 10th. Sort of dark, brooding and intimidatingly menacing.
An 8/10 for the 2nd Episode. I'll probably rate again the 1st and 2nd episode once it is officially released.
