But where's the hype though?  IMO only ATRL, pop music suckers and Rihanna stans all throughout the world know about this upcoming lead single from her next studio album.

That seems to be how it always is. You know Ryan Seacrest is going to premiere the song or something similar, and it will take off after the release. For a single, hype before the release isn't all that necessary when we are talking about a known commodity such as Rihanna.
