I think if you're impersonating a specific celeb then it should be fine. The whole point is to look like them. It doesnt have any intent beyond that.

That said, knowing how ridiculously sensitive America is regards race issues it was maybe not the wisest choice for a teacher. Its sad folk cant take things for just what they are without reading tons more into it. We seem to be living in an age where everybodies looking to be offended by something or other.

I despise the tradition of Africans stoning and hanging gays, yet they don't stop that when that is actually disgusting and harmful to others... I know PLENTY of black people who LOVE 'zwarte piet', especially since children like zwarte piet and thus get a much more positive opinion about black people because of that tradition...
