They are doing just fine according to the lady herself. Fantastic article, actually, well worth reading.

Good for her. She will be back with a huge opening week sales by the time she will release her new album. People are going to miss her a lot and that's important ( the miss factor). Never release an album simultaneously or else the album will end up weak and short-lived. 21 will continue to enjoy its success until next year and Adele herself would just be sitting in a chair, laughing and watch her sales increasing day after day.

21 is a once-in-a-career type album. Nobody should expect this kind of success the second time around. She already mined her break-up for all it's worth so it makes sense she isn't inspired to write anything new. She'll open big with the next album and then fade like Norah Jones did.

And why do y'all even entertain these "fade away" comments? They have become predictable and redundant and reeks of jealousy. The same people who are saying these comments were probably the same ones who didn't see this type of success coming. It's obvious that she won't see the same success in the near future or probably ever again, just like GaGa won't see the type of success she saw with The Fame (Monster), Katy probably won't see 5 #1s from one album again and Michael's biggest album remains Thriller. If Adele does "fade away," this will still be regarded as one of the biggest eras of any artist in this generation, so that should be noted. People and their ****in' crystal balls... Predict your own favorite's fate.
