Under other circumstances, it might be, but people (even her fans) are tired of her upbeat and "bratty" songs. Let Me Go snippet have had some good reactions from fans and non-fans. Perhaps it's not as "surprising" as GYWYL would have been, but it's better than releasing yet another "classic" upbeat song like Sipping On Sunshine. I don't see LMG being extremely successful, but I think it's gonna be good to (try to) build a more serious and mature image for Avril. The presence of Chad might be counterproductive, but it sounds more radio-friendly than GYWYL so it makes sense it's released as single (if it finally is). It would be perfect if they released a 4th single that reflects that mature side, GYWYL or some other that we don't know about.

I agree with you 100%. The sad thing is, though, her bratty and upbeat songs (and I do LOVE them) like "What the Hell" and "Girlfriend" had more success than songs like "Wish You Were Here" did, and I was disappointed by the fact that "Wish You Were Here" did not smash. I think that you are right about them releasing "Let Me Go". It could be semi-successful; it will change some people's opinion about her, but... I don't see it being super successful. She needs to change up the styles of some of her singles, so... I don't think she should release any more upbeat singles (other than "17", which is only semi-upbeat). If she releases another one, I think "Sippin' On Sunshine" should get released, but not until next summer. I'm waiting for her stupid record label to announce that that song will be released in winter or something, and then it will flop for sure. I'm praying that "Let Me Go" is released as the third single and a more mature song is the fourth single. I agree with you 100%.
