Despite the shortcomings of a Nintendo recently, he definitely did more than his fair share for Nintendo. The Wii is definitely a console worth holding your name too.
RIP and hope his family, friends and employees are doing okay.
I had no idea he was dealing with health issues, so this news is really out of the blue and shocking to me. He passed away at such a young age, too. May he rest in peace and his family be strong in this difficult time.
He's the only Nintendo president that I've ever known growing up. That picture of him holding up the prototype Wii (remember when it was codenamed Revolution?) at E3 2005 is forever etched in my mind, young me was so hype for that console launch
