These kind of comments happen when the posts they come across to are the somewhat "negative" ones . Her entire Twitter page is filled with positivism and how to appreciate the small things in life! ... She's extremely positive actually.

How is it SO HARD for people to understand she needs this to process her experiences and thoughts, which she NEEDS to do in order for her to feel healthy.
Everyone knows she has a hard time putting her thoughts in words, which just proves from how much emotion it comes from.
She feels like she needs to justify not being there, because right now everything is about that music festival for some reason.


If people actually read the statement correctly they'd see that she's relating it to that time when she herself was probably doing drugs/drinking alcohol/partying at coachella.

The reason why this isn't sitting well with people isn't because Demi is an easy target or because it's fun to hate on Demi. It's not sitting well with people because she's judging people while asking not to be judged.

Don't get me wrong, I completely understand where she's coming from. I've been pretty open on ATRL about my history with substance abuse and the fact that I can't handle drugs and alcohol. They're not good for my mental health, I black out every time I drink (because I can't pace myself and just binge) and even though I didn't go to rehab, my parents put me in drug and alcohol counselling, which is kind of like pre-rehab. The difference between Demi and I though, is that I don't judge those who do. If people want to go to Coachella and have the time of their lives, and drink until they feel sick, and dance for 4 days straight with no sleep, that's fine. That's their prerogative. It's not for me, because I can't handle it, but if it's for them, they're at perfectly liberty to do so.

I'm not going to judge them for what they wear or what they take or how much they party.

I think that's why people are annoyed at her here. Because like I said before (in a line a stole from HBO's 'Girls') she can be quite hypocritical. She's judging people while asking not to be judged.

She just needs to shut the hell up. I understand that she has her problems, but not everyone in the world has that problem. Not everyone in the world drinks and becomes an alcoholic. She needs to stop trying to force her new lifestyle onto people just because she can't do what you use to do or else she will have a breakdown. That is a personal issue, boo. Not everyone else's issue.
