Irreplaceable is a record breaking iconic hit comparable to both songs he mentioned. And that's just one song in her whole discography. I despise music snobs.
Honestly, why are all these older men and women coming for Bey? Irreplaceable, Crazy in Love and Single Ladies are three songs that are more iconic than any of the songs in his discography. He is hanging on by the limb of relevancy even within country/rock, whatever the hell he sings.
Comments by him and other people (Huckabee or Noel) remind why she lost AOTY. People just don't like her because she is "The Biggest Star In The World" and they can't relate to it - so they just try to trivialize her.
It's truly misogynistic, and somewhat racist, but it exists. But, now he has a whole fanbase who will dislike him.
To be honest, it is always unfair to compare songs that are 10 years old or even younger to classics from the 70s or 80s.
A song like Sweet Home Alabama, a real classic, has been present in pop culture for all my life. I don't even know where I heard it first. To be really able to judge, we would have to be looking into the minds of people 20 or 30 years from now and see how iconic the songs from 2000s are to them who have been born later.

This is true. I truly see "Crazy In Love" being one of those immortal type songs that will become a bigger classic year after year. "Single Ladies" will also be immortal, due to the video and dance. (Look at Thriller). In addition, BEYONCE's impact seems to have a great deal of longevity.
