As I said before, there are too many hands involved in this album making that you barely know if your fave experienced every lyrics or not

umm how? beyonce is the producer and director of both album and film.
she's the one controlling the lyrical and sound content and all the people involved.
If you check the interview from writers, producers, most of them wasn't even in the studio with her and no idea what's going on with the track.

It's just not my cup of tea musically and no one is obligated to like something just because of a certain advertised message.
Also, when an album needs that many writing credits, it's an immediate turn-off. Maybe start a band instead. I'd rather dedicate my money and time to artists who are passionate about writing and creating their songs themselves. But unfortunately that's generally a problem in the pop industry that needs to change.

I'm not really into pop music actually, I just find it to be quite boring in the same way I find a lot of Frank Ocean's music boring. It's missing something. After I went through a break up, though, the emotions of the album did resonate with me to a greater extent. I still have to try hard to immerse myself in it, which you could blame on my abilities as the music listener-- but I personally don't have the energy for that.

If you enjoy it, good for you. I prefer music to be more not necessarily pop, but accessible. Accessible =/= pop, in my opinion.

Some people will like the music; some will not - simple. It's quite accessible, but the hype/message understandably overshadowed the album, musically -- correlates with the massive front-loaded numbers/drop/no longevity -- and a lot of the urban elements are too watered down & overproduced, for my liking.

4/ST feel much more authentic. They were probably written when Bey was ACTUALLY INSPIRED to create something.

Who said the album needed that many writing credits? The album just has that many. Talking about writing credits is a cop-out criticism.

Beyoncé just won't satisfy everyone. She can make an hour long film with so many different scenes, moods, a storyline, hundreds of extras, thoughtfulness, a diverse set of songs still being cohesive, time, money, blood and sweat... but she should have also sat down and written every song herself.

I don't understand how a song like Hold Up is not accessible though. Most of the songs are. It's not like they are super off-putting.

open your mind, working with others doesn't make less passionate about creating a song.
there're many ways of creative process and passion into it.
and actually it makes them more passionate as they want to explore different sounds and creativeness, more hunger for music.

so who do you support ? there're like.. no one in mainstream industry doing all by themselves.
it's hard to find in indie scene too who not just write, but produce and doesn't get help from others.
