That and there's a freakin' log-jam in front of it. Kenny and Brad are struggling too. 3 of the biggest names in country having songs that can't find a good update with a map and a compass is kind of unusual and probably more indicative of the chart as a whole rather than the individual songs. I think once the songs above them clear out things will improve assuming they can hold on.
There is some negativity surrounding Taylor on country right now, CFC and I were preaching about that and people didn't believe us. I assume they originally didn't plan on releasing Begin Again until at least a month later (probably right around the CMAs) so this is probably freaking them out a bit and throwing off their plans. Taylor is slated to be on Ellen on Dec. 3, that's probably the Begin Again performance, which was held back from the original episode.
They should have released Red as the lead single and let that song be a beast on both formats (obviously wouldn't have been as huge on pop as WANEGBT, but it wouldn't have pissed off her country base, so it probably would have been just as big overall) and then split the single with the pure pop stuff. They've really handled country poorly this era.
