This Is How We Do would have been Top 5 on the Hot 100/iTunes by now. The PERFECT song to enter the summer, especially with seniors graduating from high school in the following weeks nation wide. Why they chose Birthday is beyond me. The song is a bop but it's so insignificant.

TIHWD is an anthem. I don't care if most of her stans find it generic which I don't think it is, it's the most perfect 90's hip pop influenced song I've ever heard, it deserved to be the 4th single followed by Walking On Air, Legendary Lovers and Choose Your Battles in the winter + a performance of it at the VMA's.

Roar ( Pop anthem with some elements of Alternative)
Unconditionally (Power Pop Ballad)
Dark Horse (Urban Trap Pop )
This Is How We Do (90's Hip Pop)

She would have been on a roll, not only on the charts but by being critically acclaimed.

TIHWD should have been the single. This song is just like Uncle. Its ok but nothibg special or different it sounds like a hit but falls flat.

Dark Horse proves this. The GP likes interesting different Katy. Not a rehashed ballad or a Mariah Carey sounding single. I called this single underperforming from the start snd was beyond dissapointed when I found out it was getting released.

TIHWD sounds like a summer smash hit to me. Its a shame if it does not get a release.

I have different taste then some people. I dont really care for "Firework". Its just ok to me.

Dark Horse was instant for me.

I would've picked wither WOA or LL for a single rn and they would've done marginally better by now but without a performance they'd still be performing poorly.

I actually disagree with people thinking that TIHWD would have done better than Birthday. Of all the songs on PRISM, sans Roar, Birthday is by and large the one with the most instant appeal and likeability. I honestly have no idea why it's not smashing....

It might be the fact that Dark Horse still won't quit.

I don't think it has to do with DH anymore. It's quite possible to have two smash hits simultaneously. If the public likes both songs from the same artist, they'll buy or stream them both.

Let's see what the performance will do, but I wouldn't expect too much of an increase at this point.
