Overall, Coven definitely needed to be patched up in places. I would love it for it to be remade into a series of its own, but that isn't happening. Still, for what it was, Coven entertained me and kept me on the edge for the most part. The acting was brilliant, but the writing was so-so. I wanted to kill Zoe (and I love Zoe) for saying her hell was Kyle not loving her. What kind of ARTPOP behind the scenes moment what was that! We were not here for that.
Murder House was brilliant in acting and writing. After re-watching it I see how much thought was put into the plot. I tried Asylum, but found it boring. I'm going to give it another try. But don't get me wrong, Coven was the season that got me into the series to begin with...I just wish it were more finely tuned.
And I'll say that the Coven finale was haunting! Fiona's desperate attempt to take Cordelia down with her...and how Fiona ended up needing her daughter after all this time. Misty's death touched me because it was unfair, but the depressing reality is that life really isn't fair. It was so sad
