If you yourself weren't so simple, you would realize it only helps his own brand. Her brand isn't going to "get" anything out of this that she couldn't get for herself, on her own, with proper effort and planning.
She isn't going to be
taken seriously as a "true artisté" because Kanye West executive produced her album.
Instead, her input is going to be diminished in the media. Any good thing about the album will be chalked up to "Kanye's impact," because that's the way it works in the media. No one is going to say "Rihanna found her artistic side," they are going to say "Kanye West brought some artistry to the album." Kanye is a man, Rihanna is a woman, thus, Kanye will automatically be given the credit.

Her respect as an artist isn't going to come from working with Kanye West. It doesn't work that easily. Kanye West is not some sugar cube you can add to sweeten any drink. It will come from her
demanding it
which shows how much they're uninteresting and bring nothing new to the table.
