My little brother's favorite kpop song is Red Light. He knows a lot of other kpop songs because I used to play them around him.
My younger sister used to be an EXO stan but BTS ruined her and she was The Ark stan (she lowkey had a meltdown when I told her they disbanded
). She likes the music of a lot of other groups but she doesn't seem to be into kpop that much anymore. She calls a lot of it trash.
One of my friends at uni is a very casual kpop fan. She has the most random Korean songs on her phone, a lot of slow-mid tempos. She's seen BB in concert twice.
There was a kpop event thing at my uni that I went to. Like 30 to 40 ppl. We all had to introduce ourselves and say our faves. Everyone was a BTS fan and the way people screamed when I mentioned Black Pink as one of my favorites.
1/3 of the people there liked Mamamoo and I was SHOOK because their intl presence seems to be low based on the forums I got to. When I mentioned f(x) I got blank stares dfhjff;; Didn't mention them but GOT7 was another favorite there. People were shocked/confused when I mentioned WG.
Everyone unanimously agreed that BB and EXO were good. Oh, and a lot of Dean and Jay Park fans.
