Just got back from a screening of Insidious 2 . If you enjoyed the first one then I guarantee you will like this one as well. James Wan really knows how to create moods, as this film had just the right atmosphere and creep factor to keep you unnerved. The story pretty much expands on the first one with a nice freaky twist.
You're Next pleasantly surprised me! I really enjoyed it and genuinely didn't expect some of the twists. I can't wait to see Insidious 2 on friday the 13th

It seems more, idk, I guess comical in a sense? The first one was very minimalistic and had an indie-quality to it, but this one seems to be like a B-horror movie almost, judging by the trailers. Can you tell there's an increased budget, or does it rely too much on played out horror cliches and effects?
I watched Beneath the other day. It was really ******, and doesn't even have a Wikipedia page. It was about six friends who go out on a lake with a giant man-eating sailfish type creature in it. But one of the kids KNEW about the fish and still took his friends there. And not out of revenge or anything, just for kicks.

To answer the question up top I enjoyed the first one better. And yes this one does have a bit more comedy than the first which I didn't really care for but if didn't hamper the movie for me. The thing I really loved was that this film and the first compliment each other extremely well. The scares are pretty much in line with the first film which imo are not as powerful the second time around , but I did dig the freaky twist.
