Die Young is a nice song. Is it something that will get ppl out of their seats to buy her new album? Idk, that's up to them, but for me, NO. I need to hear something more. It shows no sense of direction with Die Young. I don't wanna buy "Animal" again you see what I'm saying. Warrior should be a whole new body of work.

but you have been buying the same thing with rihanna albums.. let's not with your hypocrisy
This sound is still different from K$'s old work while still having the Ke$ha element. It's the perfect lead single for someone who took a 2 year break AFTER THEIR DEBUT.. so let's not please!

Rihanna is VERY strong in the music market. She's not only a single-seller power, but also a powerful album seller. I just admit it. And I still gotta say Ke$ha is not really potential regarding album sales, only singles, mainly digital copies. That's why she can't be so risky in her lead single... She must guarantee the success of the beginning of her new era and then she may experiment more with her next singles.
I still find Ke$ha's music original... I just like her sticking to her trash dance electropop music. I'm even worried about some Warrior's tracks, like the one with Iggy Pop and all the things she said about her "rock roots", besides working with Wayne Coyne . I just hate it and I'm not here for that. When 'Die Young' came out, it was like a relief to me, because it was pop, and nothing like people described. ("folky, hippy, alternative, etc.")

I see where all of you are coming from about Ke$ha having to play it safe due to her circumstances but still, I don't wanna hear the same ol same ol song. Ke$ha can still take freedom and I wasn't saying she sould release a midtempo song. That's a big risk. She could've still gave us something more different and a risk then Die Young at the end of the day. But I still bought it, so you can't hate me. The song is nice, but as a fan, we should want more.

Yes because when you have an artist as big as Rihanna who can release anything and have it get high off her fame alone, there's gonna be lots of #1's ESPECIALLY when you're over-saturating.

I did just get here so I'm not as annoyed as some, but Tra.cee, Georges, Xenomania, & B2 are having a (mostly) respectful discussion about Rihanna & Ke$ha's new singles.....it's kind of refreshing.

Same thing. Rih has been giving the GP not her fans different material or at least she's giving an effort.
But K$ is doing very well...I don't see any harm with wanting someone to give us something more fresh and less generic, maybe something even unexpected. A ballad might fare well with K$, no offense, has she ever sung one? That would make the GP interested, believe it or not. All we know her for is her autotune rap-singing pop trashy style.

Thanks. Yeah I'm a HUGE fan of K$ I just want more. I don't see the harm in saying that. Rih keeps giving us more, BABY steps, but she's making an effort. If she flops, who cares haha.
I hope Warrior gives us some surprises

I get what you mean, but that's just not her fault. Doctor Luke is repetitive and that's something obvious. I like his work, but everything he produces sounds the same. Imagine if the beat on 'Die Young' was different and sicker? It'd sound much more original and less generic. But that's just not Ke$ha's fault, she isn't the one who produces it.

She has of course sung slower songs. The Harold Song is her best, I think my fellow animals would agree with me.

The most ballady thing she sang for the general public is animal on the billboard awards.. she did sing the harold song on tour thought and she does know how to make one.
tbh, Dancing With Tears In My Eyes would have benefited her but her label still has too much control.
She did say she has many more slower songs this album, but her singles will probably ALWAYS be quicker paced until her label trusts her. I MEAN SHE IS STILL NEW HERE.. let's keep this in mind!
Anyways, we better stop otherwise wp will start flying!

K$ has made a name for herself though. PPL still remember Tik Tok, one of the biggest debuts in the 2000s, I don't like that argument at all.
Don't underestimate K$ and she took a break on good standing. She's perfectly fine commercially in my eyes.

I don't have any problem with Kacee, she likes Ke$ha and has her opinion on her, I like Rihanna and have my opinion on her.
Don't wanna make this more than what it is.
