I'm personally sick of people saying Brit should leave Jive because she has no control.
There's been plenty of times in her career where Brit took charge.
Baby One More Time video - which is basically the foundation of her whole career & was her own concept.
Dream Within A Dream Tour concept
In The Zone & Britney Albums had a lot of contributions by Brit.
Toxic video concept
Do Somethin' video concept & direction
Someday video concept
Gimme More video concept
Womanizer video concept
If U Seek Amy video concept & editing
Circus Tour performances she choreographed or chose (Mannequin, You Oughta Know) & outfits.
Original Doll album / Mona Lisa (Yeah I know Jive freaked out about the song, but only because Brit had no ****ing idea how to release it properly. You don't just hand your songs to a radio station randomly like she did... & plus, the demo sucked. The revised version did the song more justice.)
Jive are NOT going to deny Britney input in her own career, they never have. I don't know why people think that. Just because Britney's a lazy bish at times, stans delude themselves into thinking Jive is somehow holding her back. It's a record label like any other, they want the best for their artists because that then = $$. Jive has always been supportive of Brit's input, so long as it has been good enough. It's Brit herself who doesn't always contribute 100%.
I don't understand why some people fantasize that if Brit leaves Jive, she will miraculously become a "deeper" artist. Keep dreaming :|
Britney's whole career & image was marketed a certain way... You can't just up & change that, or the empire they've worked so hard to build will crumble & fall apart. It's permanently embedded in pop-culture history & the minds of the masses. That's not to say that growth & evolution aren't possible, but most people's expectations are too radical. Why do stans want Brit to be someone other than who she is/what she's always been?
I wish people would get over it. The only thing I hold Jive in contempt for is the treating of her fans like 12 years olds & the terrible art direction teams they hire.
