My thoughts? THIS is the video that will cement, inscribe and brand into the American consciousness tha Britney Jean Spears is (1) finally fully recovered from the tabloid era and (2) as we'd thought even during the ITZ era, (despite our commitment possibly being tested these past few years) confirm Britney's status as a ****ing legend. No, not an ATRL legend, but a Madge, a Marilyn Monroe...hell, a Susan B. Anthony-type LEGEND.
It was a reminder to all those who'd thought homegirl had dropped the ball and it's an assuring pat on the shoulder to all us stans that were there through and through. Her BEST video? Well, time will tell and at the moment it's still too fresh to merit such a title, BUT with modern twists to her other best videos ("Stronger", "Slave", and of course "Toxic"), Britney is confirming the resurrection and the ascendance of her career and legacy.
