She needs as many first week streams as possible, having 2 singles out prior to the album is a must. I don't think the lead will be dead in less than 2 months, and we don't want another Uncle/You Da One/All In My Head (Flex) situation with the monster lead overshadowing the second single.

The Chainsmokers STILL don't have an album out and they've had 3 back-to-back smashes lol.

Agree. Singles perform better with no album out. She can release 6 #1s and then the album which people won't care anyway for, I'd be fine

The only way post-album release singles smash these days are if they're really, really great pop songs (Style, Wildest Dreams, Send My Love) or if they're remixed / different from the album version (Bad Blood, Cheap Thrills).

Even the best pop songs can only hope for a Top 10 peak without a remix because the competition from new releases is just far too strong on streaming.
