I think Taylor's WSJ article kind of caused a little music industry debate, like what a_little_sinner said, mostly positive, some negative.
On the other hand, some gossip websites even dare not write about it yet, because it deeply touch the current music industry status and problems, it's not dating rumor, it would be laughable if gossip websites wrote in their normal pattern.
That op-ed is magnificent. Very informative and speaks to the music industry. I love how she described music as like love, and also how she maintains the element of surprise in this world of i ternet domination. She got the brains and talent to last in the industry longer.
I hope she is self aware of that. Now I don't really know what to expect from LP5, she is actually saying that MM music is dull and forgettable.
Her WSJ article literally told us MM was hired by her to pack her dairy with beautiful, shinning cover. If you like MM, pay $16.99 for the cover and keep it. If not, pay the same money then open the cover and read her diary. If you like them both, then keep them both.

The comments on the Jezebel article have been calling out their own Jezebel writer for being so snarky towards Taylor's articulate article.
It comes from a place of sexism, a young woman can't be talented in various facets because she caters her music towards young people.
Hopefully by element of surprise, she means that she'll continue diversify and evolve her music, but still keep her original sound with Nathan Chapman. Not here for her ditching her country-pop bops with Nathan, the main reason i fell in love with her.
When some of you guys were saying that Album Red had the highest highs, did you realize that the highest highs are a lot. Meanwhile the highest highs represented her new level of music, not the lowest low which is probably just testing for other possibility or for diversity purpose. I think LP5 will be better than Red, but I'm prepared for one rap influenced song (if existed) being called lowest low by this base, I think It's worth to try.

I definitely think LP5 has a chance of being her best yet. But idk if a Rap-Influenced song would work it'd just be awkward coming from her.
Then again if the movie goes wrong they'll blame her first & foremost even if she's not the movie's biggest issue
According to one article I saw about the film, Her role is basically just "intensely feeling feelings." Surely even She can manage that, considering it's kinda the point of Her career.
It could go different ways. Maybe everyone expects Her to be bad, but they come away pleasantly surprised—like with this article that people found to be better than they expected it to be based on Her name alone. Maybe the movie will be outstanding and critics will still say She's the worst part because of the general attitude towards Her acting. Maybe the movie will be such a trainwreck that Her performance becomes the highlight of the film. Or maybe the movie is such a trainwreck that Her ****** performance gets overlooked because of bigger **** ups. Anything could happen.

RED had the highest highest? No. Speak Now has it. From Enchanted, to Haunted to Dear John and Long Live. I'm currently enjoying the diversity of her music as it works so far. From country, pop, rock, little alt and folk. I don't know if a rap one would work for her on her records.
