I'm listening to X. So far, my opinion is that it sounds nice but I don't give a damn about what he's singing about. That's where he fails compared to Taylor. Both are writing about their personal experiences, but Taylor manages to do so in a way that makes Her music universally relatable in a way that Ed hasn't yet pulled off.

"Photograph" and "One" are both quite good. "Photograph" does kinda remind me of a blend of the two versions we have of State of Grace. Haven't heard the songs after "Photograph" yet.

I think that's cos Taylor always writes these tiny details and somehow make it feel like a big deal. Taylor is on another level, but Ed is runner-up imo. Don't you wanna know which girl is screwing with him in Don't, who is Nina, and what went on with Afire Love?

Don't is my least favorite song and I don't like Nina either.

I prefer Photograph, One, Tenerife Sea, Thinking Out Loud.
