You do not think that is a good sing.
I don't think I've ever heard worse verses in a 'major' single release.
Sounds like something the writers of Gilmore Girls might have cobbled together for Hep Alien to perform.
She's like the equivalent of Britney in England, except (somehow) even more tragic and desperate. And racist. Although she appears to be mentally stable.
COCAINEryl will kill that baby if she can't contain her drug habits. I fear for the life of that unborn child. It won't make it through the 9 months. Unborn, stillborn, delivered or miscarried, the baby will face misery.
"Perfect Illusion" sounds like a fake song you hear a fake pop star sing on a scripted TV show. The chorus melody is so derivative from a billion other pop songs. The instrumental sounds simultaneously cheap and like ten billion ideas mashed together. Her vocals are the kind of vocals you expect from a Lea Michele or Idina Menzel, someone with a Broadway/musical theatre background trying to make their way into pop but forgetting that subtle cadence is what makes pop vocals.

In its sixth week on the charts, Glory has already slunk to the incredibly and almost unbelievably low position of No. 138. That’s a shocking drop off for a star as big as Spears, and it’s all the more disappointing considering how many titles are above her and how long some of them have been out. This week, Glory wasn’t just bested on the charts by new albums that are enjoying a big first week, such as new records by the likes of Solange and Bon Iver, but also by plenty of albums that have ended their promotional runs and have seemingly seen their time in the spotlight end. This week, Glory had to settle for being less popular than releases like Eminem’s Curtain Call: The Hits (released in 2005), Sam Smith’s In The Lonely Hour, Adele’s 21, Beyoncé’s self-titled surprise album and many, many others. All of the mentioned titles were big successes, but they have all been out for years, and it’s strange to see a new album that was meant to be a hit dip beneath ones that have already moved millions and which are no longer being promoted in any way.
It doesn't matter. Godney delivered a glorious album full of glorious bops that us stans will love, cherish, and bop to forever more. She fulfilled her main purpose: providing high-quality bops for the gays.
