Don't forget to add Verified Fighter ✔ to your member title. It's free and easy, like Legend's upcoming slayage in Malaysia.
Bad Influence, I have been tempted to add "Verified Fighter ✔" to my member title but I feel some type of way about sacrificing "L`E`G`E`N`D" for "Verified Fighter ✔" .
Yeah, I wasn't really saying for sure for it to be a single. But I even mean downloads. I mean typically the first track of an album, if it wasn't a single, gets a big boost on itunes when the album is released. LI didn't really get that, and I was saying because it was an intro. Skipped over etc. If it was seen as a legit track, I think it would have gone far... At least further than LTBL which didn't take off whatsoever.
Remember when JAF got like #13 or so lol on itunes. Ohhh how we were confident lol. idk why they didnt release a video that damn week... I mean really. YB was dead and that would have been perfect. Videos help album sales too.
Anyway lol, rambling yet again on X's career.
Oh I see what you mean. I think Let There Be Love did break the Top 100 on iTunes. It was in the 80s I believe. But yeah, you would think Lotus Intro would have done much better. Bionic (the song) did decently right? And it didn't have "Intro" tacked on the end of it. I think you could be onto something lol
And Just A Fool was actually #8 combined too or something, right? It's always been plagued by having two versions named differently If it just had that Top 10 exposure, things could be a lot different.
But Just A Fool is so popular, relatively speaking, for how little airplay it had. I really feel like there's still potential there for a rerelease. That song has like so many covers on YouTube and it was barely exposed. I wouldn't say most of her songs (or anyone else's for that matter) could be a hit if re-promoted to radio. But I feel like that is the one that can do that.

I mean I feel like we could have handled Lotus better than her team lol, that album had so many potential hits and it was just handled poorly.

Waiting a month to put Your Body on iTunes will always be the main thing that killed it imo Everyone else waits hours or days. Maybe a week. Not a month. I just don't understand...

'Bionic' actually entered the Hot 100 during release week, didn't it? I could be wrong though.
'JAF' could have been so HUGE! It semi-slayed in 2 formats, HAC and AC, but the timing was wrong and it started rising on one after it had started falling on the other. If there was more promo, a video and an actual strategy on RCA's part, things would be different.

I actually heard JAF on the radio twice this week, and I'd never heard it on the radio before. My mom, who really doesn't like X, actually liked it too.

A video would have made all the difference too. That is just a reactive song, the way it kept selling like 15,000-20,000 copies a week without any airplay. It's even passed Your Body in sales right?
And it could have gone viral too and added in nice streaming points. Could you imagine a video with Christina and Blake pining for each other and Miranda Lambert playing the other woman?

Was it HAC or AC? Or Pop
That's so cool though. The only place I've ever heard Just A Fool publicly is in an airport restaurant

Oh, and I forgot to add.
I could be mistaken, but I believe Just A Fool actually sold more its first week than Bionic did the first week.
The thing is they changed the Hot 100 rules so even though Bionic sold less it debuted higher than Just A Fool.
If the old rules had still been in place, Just A Fool would have probably debuted in the Top 40 at least or close to it

'Your Body' was also butchered by the new rules. It was back when they had just added streaming, but they hadn't added VEVO views yet. So, even though YB sold 40k more than 'NMT' and had better airplay, it debuted (and peaked) 11 spots lower

hahah that's a good title also.

Ur totally right on JAF... that second version hurt. They were titled differently, one featuring Blake, another duet etc... What people searched would have came up with different results and that was the one they purchased. Yeah JAF sold over 500K confirmed... My thoughts are honestly 600K now because it it so consistent.
832. Christina Aguilera - Just a Fool (with Blake Shelton)
1 1/2 YEARS after Lotus, and look at this no video-5 million airplay, "flop."

Lol, exactly. I hope some fans do too. I'm just gonna be rly upset if she performs something out of her usual Lotus Billionaire Tour setlist. Especially a song she hasn't before like YB. I'm ok with not seeing songs like MLJ and FTM and Beautiful if they aren't recorded.

yeah sad. like every little thing that happened was christina somehow getting f****d. It was awful.
YB deserved top 20 and would have gotten it with previous Billboard rules.

I know right! This is what I keep telling people. I hate how ignorant people think that Not Myself Tonight did better than Your Body when that's not the case at all.
Sad thing is, I think a lot of radio people looked at the Hot 100 position of YB and were reluctant to play the song, because they do look at every component nowadays to determine how much they should play a song
But, look at how some other songs right now have/had not so good sales and not so good airplay but had high Hot 100 peaks due to streaming, which then brought increased good airplay. These things feed off each other, and it's horrible that the song was never given a fair shot due to this ignorance
