It's a drag, because while Gag's done, he's still stanning for trash. At least Gaga has quality material, Katy is imho complete trash. Nothing she has ever done has gotten critical acclaim by the people/magazines/websites I respect. Even if you count out Gag's good singles, most of her album tracks on her first two albums still **** on all of Katy's discography.

If anything Gag has a younger demographic than Katy. Children may like Katy, but a lot of older adults and teenagers like Katy too (she slays adult radio), while 99% of the people buying Gaga's music are teenage twinks.
