Sales have been on a downward trend lately. I'd think if Taylor couldn't do it with WANEGBT when sales were still satisfactory, no one else will even come close.
I guess we'll have to see how Britney opens with "Ooh La La"

I wish radio would play Miley's song more. iTunes is clearly proving that people are here for it.

I don't think it'll open that big either. Especially seeing as Robin Thicke will be tough to get a number one position over. But it should have a decent enough response for it to go top ten. I mean, if "3" was able to debut at number one...

It's doing good on radio, but I just wish it would increase faster. It's been holding up well on iTunes with the amount of promo its been given so far.

"3" is an underrated simple pop track but masterpiece, if I'm not mistaken

Was Miley ever a force on Pop radio? I mean, PITUSA was pretty huge, but other than that, idk... I don't follow her career so i've got no clue.

and re:the convo on the previous page, The E.N.D is a brilliant album and quite possibly the most influential album of the past 5 years or so.
90% of the dance-pop/party hits we've had since were all derivatives of IGF.

It's tough to predict "Ooh La La". The response from critics and social network users have been positive. Despite my not really caring for it, it is a well constructed pop song so that might be a winning fact for it. 200k is a given, just from her fanbase. Robin obviously won't be taken down if people are expecting him to do 350k+ next week. It could bomb though, since I don't know if top ten exposure will help it with people that preview the track. It's not that interesting of a song.
"3" is an overlooked success. 12 weeks in the BB100 top ten, 2.3 million sold with a whatever video and no sort of promotion or attention from Brit. It's in the same vein as "OLL", though the latter lacks the edge.. but amps up the friendly side of pop.
Idk, we'll see.

Force isn't really the word. She had the 1-2 punch with "The Climb" and "Party In the USA", so she was definitely on her way. But CBT screwed that up, now "WCS" - a terrible song - won't do any better.

I only meant the comparison to be that 3 was meant to promote a greatest hits compilation, rather than a studio album. And I think it shows that despite that, the digital reception was great!
Then again, didn't most of the Army also insist that Scream & Shout would flop? I think in general, stanships aren't anything to go off of when gauging potential success, because they're always going to be biased in some way...

Yep, you're right and "Scream & Shout" ended as one of the biggest worldwide hits in this decade
