Some times it's so hard to stan for this woman. Especially during Applause's release. She was so hypocritical... saying **** like "Music not the bling!" "I'm an artist! I don't care about the charts" And who could forget the time she said "I'm really an album seller, I'm not a single's artist" Then she goes back on all of that in a matter of days/weeks "Here's a link to stream Applause for the charts!!11!!" *links to looped video* "The fan that buys the most copies of Applause gets to meet ME1!!!!"....I thought she dropped the desperation after that and accepted the fact that ARTPOP, no matter how much love it, wasn't going to happen. But come G.U.Y. video release...Interviewer:"The video has around 15 million views in just a couple of days!?" Gaga: " Well, actually, umm, I think it has 30 million views already!"
To be honest, I feel like you guys all misconstrued her point about the music not being about the charts. She's always said that she was proud of her achievements but that she feels that her labels want too much from her. She's never said that she doesn't ever want to chart again Just because she stated that she doesn't make music for the charts doesn't mean she doesn't want her music to chart. She just doesn't want her fans obsessing over the wrong things. The chart means nothing, the music does.
I hope some day in the NEAR future that you guys really do understand this. And it actually sinks in and we can move on
