They were short lines sprinkled throughout the album but they were proof nonetheless that Amber could do more than be the token rapper for f(x). She does heaps for k-pop as a personality and it's going to be nice to see Amber back some of that up with tunes.

I've been a casual fan of B1A4 since last year with "What's Happening?" but I feel like I'm rediscovering them again, I downloaded their full korean catalogue and they have more gems than I realised. I also like how much input the members have towards their music, they surprised me with that. I'm looking forward to the next comeback (the hype will help be explore their catalogue a lot more).

Now that I've slept on it, I'm actually really excited for Amber's solo. I think sonically it'll be impressive on a Taemin-like scale, and with her you have no idea whether she'll go ballad or rap, so it's an exciting time.

I'll be running to purchase my copy of her mini on K2N, no doubt.

This is a blatant lie... Stop lying to yourself cause it was not impressive sonically or new... If you knew and followed Taemin a bit, you knew that the sound he was about to release. TBQH I was disappointed in his solo, cause it was not bad, but also not that good.

The mini sounded like old and new SHINee merged together but it still had Taemin's own stamp on it, imo. Songs like "Experience" were new for Taemin, I can't think of a SHINee song that sounds like it. With the exception of the dubstep breakdown, of course.

Taemin's mini was kind of expected sonically. He's always listed MJ as an influence, so when his mini came it kind of made sense. He took his own influences and perfectly mixed it with what SHINee's good at and pulled it off brilliantly.

Each to their own I guess, though.

Cackles, k den. I mean I've been listening to SHINee for less than a year and have never cared much for Taemin so his interviews and opinions weren't the most blatant thing in my memory.

Personally I never expected Taemin's solo to sound exactly like MJ and considering he dropped Experience which is one of SM's best songs this year then yes it was surprising.
