I know what you're trying to mean and you even made me remember an scene from Dawn of the Dead where one of the characters died while giving birth and her baby was a zombie inside too.
I don't think they even have fully formed nails either unless it headbutts its way out I don't see maggie dying from a baby walker
Well the baby and the mother are linked through the umbilical chord, so the rotting corpse of the undead baby will continue to decay within her unless its removed from her womb and she would die of blood poisoning.
Like I said above, they probably mixed in a lot of different sounds to try and mask who's actually getting the bat. With the extra 3 minutes added to the finale, it makes me think they were originally going to keep it a cliffhanger but now we'll get to see who it actually is.
