False. There are many artists who have gotten two Diamond albums in a row. Both Britney Spears and Mariah Carey did with the albums Baby One More Time/Oops I Did It Again and Music Box/Daydream.

I guess but I dont agree that this is some huge phenomenon for the industry. Yes sales suck but thats because of pirating. Obviously Adele is a monster artist who is selling amazingly but shes certainly not saving the industry, nobody can.

Pirating isn't the reason for sales decline, music is trash now. If you got back and listen to music from 60s-90s you would notice why they sold albums.

The one that I am more impressed is Justin he came from nowhere while everyone thought he was out and is now competing not with 1 but 4 guys in a group the most successful group this decade for number 1. If 1D album is that impressive they should have picked better singles because they seem not to do them any favors.

They are more impressive because :

- The had much less promo;
- they had much less radio support;
- they didn't release gp friendly songs;
- this is just their yearly release (comebacks tend to sell more);
- they didn't release naked photos or cheap tactics for some promo.

Oh and the 1 vs 4 guys is one of the stupidest things I've ever raed, sorry.

-They always have less promo its no secret 1D are lazy when it comes to promo and they have sold way more than 300k with less promo
- I can only think of 2 songs that were radio friendly in their 5 albums so again nothing new
-That is poor excuse about being yearly release if they had quality songs the public would have bought the album like what they are doing with Bieber
-As if Justin released those pics when he was caught on holiday but OK

I wrote 4 guys because of 1D marketing of having the guys have its own covers. Meaning their marketing is having those tweens to buy all 4 albums so nice try.

This is my issue. People keep being shocked by Bieber. His last album opened 370k+ and had three major hits. Did people really think he was going to flop because he raced some cars and egged somebody's house? Peed in a bucket and now he's gonna do Ciara first week numbers?

He didn't come from nowhere. He's coming off Believe. And Journals just impressed naysayers about his more mature potential. It only bombed because he released the whole album week by week. Never was gonna be a huge era or anything. His comeback was always gonna be huge as long as the music was good. He didn't beat Selena down and terrorize the industry like Chris. Something like that would warrant concern.

I said the music was better. Also that's when album sales started to increase with The Beach Boys and The Beatles. Y'all like to blame pirating for everything but the truth is certain artist still sell albums even in this age due to having an actual fan base and quality music. Twenty One Pilots are near gold with an album that has yet to have a radio hit. Halsey debuted with 100k in sales, Adele and JT albums sell well, Swift albums always sell, Eminem always sell.
