Well her debut is my favourite album by her Like A Virgin and True Blue singles are amazing and the rest of them aren't even as bad as some later atrocities.

Her debut is a near flawless collection of pure pop at its finest so I approve. For me, LAV is a schmaltzy 80s prom soundtrack (not in a bad way) and I like it due to nostalgia. And I think True Blue's only real problem is the track list is just horrendously sequenced. Like if you reorder it and maybe add some of the Who's That Girl soundtrack songs, it becomes a much better album listen.
"I'm So Stupid" is a pretty important song in terms of it being the one that speaks about how and why she became such a philanthropist and such a passionate believer in world issues.
Like obviously it's not the beautiful song she has ever sung and the "Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii" is not the most stunning sound the world has ever heard, but overall I really connect with that song. That album is probably my 2nd fave after Hard Candy, but then I'm a unique kind of M stan it seems.
A few years ago I met up with my friend and we had a big long deep convo and he asked me what the song to describe my year was and I told him it was "I'm so stupid." It was my first year out of uni and out in the real world, and I'd become so aware of the world, the reality, the real human struggles and had overcome so many of my insecurities after realising how unimportant good looks and having all the hot guys like you etc. was. Can't believe it doesn't resonate with ya'll.
Well I like the song a lot better from your perspective! I don't think I could ever appreciate it the same way though.
The way things are going now, Debut and Erotica are going to be the clear winners for me. I thought my scores for LAP and ROL would be higher but they aren't impacting me like they used to. Maybe I have to go through the whole albums instead of skipping around when I go through the songs a second time.
Getting a bit of life from "Super Pop" right now. Might have to give it a 5.something, I'm being extra mean to make sure the BEST songs really stand out.

COADF and HC were so refreshing because from I'm Breathless - American Life Madonna didn't serve a lot of fun dance pop songs.
I'm guessing you don't like 80s Madonna? That's probably my favorite decade of hers, ignoring Erotica
Reinvention, I only included those 2 from Evita because they were her only solo tracks from the film that weren't singles or mostly instrumental. I didn't include any of her movie duets for it or I'm Breathless just so people wouldn't have to sit through a bunch of Antonio Banderas and Jonathan Pryce songs.
