1. Years & Years - "King" (=) (9 weeks) (^1-6)
"King" ties "Bound 2" and "Avril 14th" for the second-longest run at #1. The longest time spent was 8 weeks by "Let It Go," which "King" would be at this week if not for "****ING YOUNG / PERFECT" robbing it of two weeks in the middle of its run. None of the 6-week #1s on my chart were consecutive, with "Bound 2" splitting its run 2-4; "Avril 14th" 4-1-1, and "King" 1-5. "Let It Go" spent all 8 of its weeks at #1 consecutively.
"Trap Queen" misses out on the #1 spot this week by an absolutely minimal margin. It was extremely close. Ke$ha rises with her amazing ballad "The Harold Song" into the Top 3 while Cartel rises with "Wasted" and debuts "Honestly." Tyler finally falls out of the Top 10 after 8 weeks, including 2 at #1.
After Taylor's great rebound last week at #3 with the Kendrick-assisted remix of "Bad Blood," she falls this week out of the Top 5 to #6 due to the power of "Wasted." While Rihanna's collab with Eminem holds in the Top 5, her new single "American Oxygen" rises into the Top 10 to follow previous single "FourFiveSeconds" and outpeaks previous single BBHMM.
Notably this week Kanye's "Wolves" enters the chart's "hall of fame," if you will. On the list of my chart records there is a special section for the elite few that have spent 15+ weeks on my chart which "Trap Queen" should join next week.
