Post-apocalyptic world where people live in 12 different districts and each year a tournament is held where 2 kids from each district have to kill each other and the last person wins.

You should read the first one to see if you like it, or just watch the movie. I'm sure it'd be enjoyable to watch the movie without knowing what's going to happen.

You should read it, I didn't think I'd like it either until my brother got all 3 for Christmas this year and told me to check it out, now I had never read a book for pleasure before and I got through all 3 within a week, the last taking the longest because it kind of dragged a little in the middle but that's the only bad thing I have to say about the series.

So this girl was an assistant at Lionsgate in the development department. When she was promoted to a Creative Exec, the first thing she did was find this book called The Hunger Games that she brought into Lionsgate. But she was fired right after. Or rather, "let go" due to downsizing. Same difference.

Her consolation prize for this: one ticket to the premiere. Not even one ticket with a +1 so she could bring her husband. Just one lone ticket.

So without poor fired Marisa, we wouldn't be seeing The Hunger Games tomorrow.

Dude, trust me. It's good.
I didn't really read it because of a hype. I read the books years ago. But even then, I was obsessed. haha. Now, I just have people to obsess WITH. XD
I think it's definitely overexposed, but not overrated. They're great books.

OH MY GOD. I LOVED IT.

The capitol was shown SO ****ing amazing. I was afraid they wouldn't handle that good, but it was flawless. The end was so dramatic, yas.
Rue's death scene is so sad.

I don't think the shaky camera was annoying at all, gosh. I have to watch it again ASAP, I really just loved it. It's a great action movie, but made so different. And Jennifer Lawrence really was great, but I also loved Elizabeth Banks as Effie.

Children forced to fight to the death for entertainment, is pretty much what its about.

It was ****ing phenomenal.

Easily better written, directed, and acted than any Harry Potter movie.

This film series will be considered landmark cinema, mark my words.

I now stan for this series.
