Week 32 | U2, Pussycat Dolls Debut; The Fray Returns
Here's a brief look at what you can expect for this week's countdown, the first week of August 2009:
- Colbie Caillat looks to waste no time advancing to #1 on the countdown, as her new single "Fallin' For You" debuted at #3 last week. Can the "Bubbly" singer get her second #1 single on the countdown, or will she be forced to watch another artist celebrate the #1 spot?
- Lady GaGa looks to comeback strong, as she returned to the countdown last week at #9. Can Lady GaGa, who recently picked up 9 VMA nominations, get her second #1 video of the year with "LoveGame"?
- The Pussycat Dolls return to the countdown this week with a new video for "Hush Hush; Hush Hush". Can the Dolls match the success of their #1 single "When I Grow Up" or will the new single follow up in the footsteps of the less successful "I Hate This Part"?
All those questions will be answered plus U2 gets crazy and The Fray returns to the countdown after a long hiatus.

Week 33 | Shakira, Nelly Furtado Debut; C.C. vs. KoL For #1
Here's what you can expect to see on this week's countdown:
- After getting so close to the #1 spot two weeks ago, Green Day took a big hit last week and almost fell out of the top 10. Can the band regain their composer, or will they be shot down in their attempt to seize control of the top spot?
- In only two weeks on the countdown, Colbie Caillat has already showed herself to be a contender on the countdown, as she rose one spot last week to #2. Can "Fallin' For You" become the twentieth #1 single of 2009?
- Two international superstars debut this week: Nelly Furtado and Shakira. Will the "Promiscuous" singer outperform the "Hips Don't Lie" songstress or were Shakira's supernatural powers too much for you, the voter, to resist?
All those questions will be answered plus Nickelback returns to the countdown yet again and Kid Cudi makes a countdown debut with a little help from his friends.
