It's likely to debut April 26, and though she isn't known to have big first weeks, the anticipation for this single is huge. "Judas" will probably debut at #1, but I wouldn't expect it to have the spot for very long. I think Beyonce will take it 2 to 3 weeks in.

What's the source on the 04/26 date? Is there a press release?

Are we talking about "Move Your Body"? I don't think that will be #1 on iTunes..

If not, then I doubt she'll randomly drop a single that day. Unless we got some announcement in the next few days.

Thanks!
Well, this will be interesting!! As far as I'm concerned, as long as Judas debuts to #1, I'm fine with that. Ever since Bad Romance didn't make it to #1 but was clearly her biggest song/video, I think the BB Hot 100 is overrated and isn't a really good indicator of weither a song had an impact and will be remembered.
I just need Judas to be a powerful song that will blow everyone away and I'll be more than happy with that

IKR!
I can't at Born This Way being #1 for 6 weeks and Bad Romance peaked at #2. We all know the better song...
HOT 100 needs to be recalculated. They've improved by making it 5% streaming, now with vevo, but that's not enough.
15% Streaming
60% iTunes
25% Radio

Hmm, so are you suggesting that you can only show impact by reaching #1 on the chart? Because the song showed plenty of enough impact with it's longevity & strong sales (which make up the chart along with airplay). As much as plenty of recent #1s actually. So the BB #1 may be overrated in some cases, but the entire chart just because it didn't go #1?

And what you suggest is the best indicator? iTunes only? a song that could debut at #1 and then fall to #70 the next week?
There are plenty of songs in history that peaked at #2 that are more remembered that some #1 hits and had INCREDIBLE longevity and sales, it just good timing and some of luck to reach #1...
And IMO BB Hot 100 and CHR/Pop Radio are the best indicators to what had an impact.

I don't think you understood my post?...
I said that clearly Bad Romance had more impact and will be more remembered in her career than Born This Way for example even though BR didn't make it to #1 and BTW spent 6 weeks #1 there. So that's why, to me, the #1 spot on the Hot 100 is overrated sometimes.
The chart is useful to know what song is popular right now. But, popular doesn't mean that the song will be remembered. In some cases yes and in other cases no. Many songs (that I will not name) have HUGE hot 100 success, but only because they are generic and people love them on the moment, but completely forget them after few months.
It's still the best indicator that we have to know what is the song right now, but you have to take it with a major grain of salt.
EDIT : Also, to me the best indicator is yes the longevity on the HOT 100 (but not necessarly #1), but also the critics, the awards, the MV, the performances, etc. It's a whole, the HOT 100 doesn't define everything.

I'm sorry, but you said none of what is bolded. You didn't mention "BTW" at all, actually. The way you worded the actual post made it seem like you were saying #1 is the only true way to show impact. In simple terms you basically said "Bad Romance" didn't go #1 = Hot 100 overrated, which is why I and another questioned.
Anyway, you're now saying sometimes which I then agree with. But not so much to say overrated. #1 is either a lucky case or you're absolutely dominating all areas to be there. But, I understand your stance to an extent.

Well I'm saying the Hot 100 defines everything. We were talking about the chart, though.

In the "BR" situation, Jay-Z (& now Ke$ha from further research) were both doing better in sales & eventually airplay than "BR". All three songs though have incredible impact for the respective songs.

Oh well sorry for not making my point clear at first
Yeah I agree. A song that had huge impact is more likely to have success on the chart, duh. I don't think a song who revolutionizes the music world would peak at #90. But, not making it to #1 isn't that much of a deal. Some people out there are only here for #1s. If a song didn't make it to the top of the HOT 100, it's a flop.
Didn't Oops peak at #9 on Hot 100, but HIAM peak at #1? We all know that everyone still remember Oops now, its impact was huge!
Finally :
A song that made it to #1 =/= a song that had a major impact.
A song that didn't make it to #1 may had a major impact.

"Pumped Up Kicks" should be higher, such an addictive song.

LOL, she will pull at least 500K in a FULL first week , Judas will be number 1 with no doubt.

My 2 cents :
50% iTunes
30% Radio
20% Streaming
radio shouldn't have that much pull, as it's full of paylo & spamming fans. iTunes & Streaming shows what people really like.

Digital sales should make up the chart 100%.
