Honestly don't even think her team is caring about pop anymore. That being said I hope I'm wrong because I would love to hear Overdose before June. All I know is it better still be on the album.

I believe she definitely has it in her to put out a pop smash. I just feel like radio won't be receptive to her at this point. Pop radio is very hot and cold. I feel like they won't even try it until after the album is out and see fan reaction. I hope she could get lucky and have a pop hit but obviously urban radio is definitely what she needs to cater to for now.
I have to say, "Body Party" has gotten the most praise for any Ciara record since "Ride." With a good video and some good performances, she might have herself a top 10 hit on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts. However, she'll have to keep her iTunes sales consistent.

They need to focus on getting "BP" into the top 40 of the Hot 100, top 10 of the R&B + R&B/HipHop charts, and selling people the idea of her album being cohesive and a solid body work because at the moment, people don't even take the release date seriously. I don't think it's too farfetched for this to be played on mainstream radio.
I'm doubtful...even if it does it would need to conquer urban and rhythmic first, and by then pop would be so late in the game that its chart position would barely change
I mean even adorn is barely doing anything on pop
The best case scenario for this song would be top 10 in its format and a hot 100 position. That would be considered a successful urban record nowadays (smh)
I prefer for this to have longevity on itunes rather than be a hot shot like Sorry and Got Me Good were. If this song stays steady for the rest of the week or even keeps rising and maintains the Top 100 placement, that's a good luck, because there technically isn't any promo going for the song. The song hasn't even been sent to radios yet.
If Cira's team were smart, they would have her do some sort of televised performance next week or the week after, in the mean time before releasing a music video .Have her do something that will bring attention to the track because It will die out if they don't put promo into it.
I'm pretty sure EPIC has no intentions of releasing Body Party to Pop, especially not when she has recorded tracks tailored for that format.

I think the only thing that'll keep the momentum now is radio until the video drops...I rly don't see her doing a televised performance of this soon. Hopefully she doesn't rush the video out tho we need radio momentum first

IF this even gets considered for pop radio, it would have to slay rhythmic and urban first. I've said it before and ill say it again this song will be a "hit" for Ciara if it can crack top 10 in it's format and at the very least debut somewhere on the hot 100. I mean ice went top 10 on urban and barely scratched the hot 100 so to be expecting a hot 100 smash is a bit extreme
