The only reason people kept buying TD was because it kept producing monster hit singles (8 top 3 hits I think). You cannot possibly assume that PRISM will have anything like that kind of (almost unprecedented) success. Unconditionally is literally just getting started.
For comparison, Wide Awake (a second single that was sent to radio two months after TD:CC was released) took weeks to enter the top ten after her Billboard Awards performance.
Had Unconditionally been released as a standalone single before the album's release, I'm sure it would have been in the top ten already.
hopefully it pulls a teenage dream and has longevity, but I think its less likely considering the album isn't bursting with obvious hits like TD was.
