How? Besides the lack of videos and performances (which had more to do with her vocal issues), the label did what they were supposed to do this era, which has surpassed EVERYONE's expectations.
An unconventional UK artist received not one, not two but three #1 smashes, nearly 10M in US sales and over 22M in worldwide sales, 6 Grammys, every other major award and critical acclaim. Her music was placed everywhere (that is the label's job to do), and her music has become a staple on TV talent shows. When she did perform, her sales soared massively, but it soared massively even without performances. And to be quite honest, I have my doubts that she would have sold this much or more if she was overexposed on TV everywhere. I think the anticipation and her lack of overexposure have helped her success this era.
I just don't see how this era has been executed
poorly considering the MASSIVE success it has received. You don't get massive success with a poorly executed era.
