Oh she's definitely sold more than 30M albums worldwide(solo). I will never be here for the underestimation of Dangerously In Love worldwide sales. That album has sold gradually over the years, less than 90k away from 5M domestically, yet according to some, it's been stuck at 8.5M-9M worldwide for a decade. The 11M+ sounds more sensible IMO. I just wishes Columbia Records would get off their lazy behinds, re-certify her albums and update her album sales.

They stated Dangerously in Love sold over 11 million copies worldwide in the press release for B'Day way back in 2006. It's well over that number now. She's under certified in every country just about. DIL is at like 1.2 million in the UK yet she's only certified 3x Platinum for 900k there. Smh @ Columbia.

Mediatraffic updated album sales from 1998 to 2013 last year and DIL was at 9 million. However it's Mediatraffic and they don't count all markets. I think 10 million seems about right.

I don't find Mediatraffic credible, they always underestimate her sales. Plus as u stated earlier, they don't count all markets. DIL will cross that 5 mark domestically, and they will still that album worldwide sales stuck @ 9M for another 10 years.

Mediatraffic underestimates everybody's sales except for Gaga's but sadly it's what most people who follow charts use. They have Britney's debut at 24 million and Xtina's at 13 million.
Is there any source claiming DIL sold over 10 million? I remember seeing a lot back in the day. I believe it sold that much, if not more. 9 million is way too low.

I just checked and DIL was at 4.3 million in the US back in August 2006, it has sold about 650k in one country alone since then, 12 million is a given. I'd trust Sony over Mediatraffic any day too.

THAT and the fact that media traffic only tracks 10 territories and they stop tracking once an album falls out of their top 40 chart. Media traffic isn't credible at all. I never see soundscan, Billboard or any other music source cite them. Media traffic is based on guestimates. That's why I don't use.

also usually catalogue music(old albums) is not a big seller. especailly for known big stars.

it's not that good catalogue seller outside us.
