Bobby won a reality show based on his rap skills, off course YG is going to cash out on this. Then they are going to send Mino on all the Underground battle he went, at the time he was in Block B, to say he's him (see what I did there ), and cash more coins on this. It's a Win/Win situation.

And having both Bobby & Mino as legit real rappers, we will have in a couple of years that GD&TOP vol2, except it'll be Bobby&Mino:Vol1

Even though I'd consider myself relatively up to date with k-pop, I'm still confused as to what YG is trying to do right now. I don't know what his main focus is, or what he's trying to accomplish with these collaboration projects.

Weren't Akmu supposed to come back again this year? I know they recently released a new song, but was that the comeback or was that their own "Ringa Linga" or "Doom Dada"? You know, a random single released months before a mini or album. I still want to hear T.O.P's album.

YG's release schedule just seems so muddled compared to previously in the year where he had everything lined up and ready to go, he had his stuff together. Or maybe he has this all planned out and I'm just really lost...

I think there are a lot of things that happened that wasn't planned. Like BigBang still not started to record their album, CL being the new YG cash cow, while PSY struggled to sell his Hangover, I mean where is Daddy? I guess his ass pulled a 2NE1's New Evolution tea, and went back to studio record new material. T.O.P clearly not in a hurry to go to the studio for his album.

Oh yeah, I forgot about PSY. I guess a couple of things did go wrong, then.
At least this is happening towards the end of the year, so everyone can hit the reset button in the New Year and start 2015 fresh. The big companies need a restart at this point.

I just hope that this year, YG doesn't forget that he has Lee Hi as soloist, so he better announce that she's comming back with at least a full album in Q1 2015.

Well my guess is Big Bang were scheduled for the end of the year but something last minute stopped that from happening (idk maybe YG actually planned to have them comeback and thought it would happen).

Basically the hip hop projects are a last minute rushed thing to fill a gap left by someone else, so there's no rhyme or reason for them in the slightest. He's not trying to accomplish anything with, in fact he's probably only trying to make it a big deal so people think it was planned the whole time.

The hip hop projects and Hi Suhyun - and even Akmu's single potentially - are all just to make money and not leave gaps in YG's release schedule after other plans fell through. He needs to keep those stocks up, hence HH project 2 being the FOURTH single with no other songs to back it up.

Oh and for the Akdong thing they only said that they had enough songs recorded to release another album this year, they never said they actually would have a comeback. No clue why YG didn't have them comeback since it would have flown up the revenue like their first album did but whatever.
