“The black race looks like the 80s," he said. "You don’t know who is what. The women look like men, the men look like women."
This comment is what gets me the most.
I was talking talking to my mother because one of my liddo cousins wanted to dye his hair and his mom said no and my mother was like "I don't like that" and stuff like that she didn't say it but I know it's because she sees that as being too "feminine" or "gay". I told her that's the style now and that one of my old high school classmates dyed their hair and she just went on about how us young folks do weird stuff
and then she turned around and said "Yall ain't doing nothing but taking what we did and bringing it back in style"
I don't understand. Most of the most homophobic black men are the same ones who perched in the 80s with their belly shirts and short shorts. Why is it that these people could express themselves how they wanted back in the day but have now been so brainwashed into thinking that it's not okay now?
Compassionate but don't underestimate me
I'm intelligent, wise, complicated being
With an instinct to dream and believe in the dreams
Family's first before anybody else
Take care of them before I take care of self
I'm a genuine feminine female thang
Can you hang? Ain't nothin' but a she thang

woo lard sorry had to rant a bit there.
!!! Some people are so afraid to break away from gender roles. It's annoying. I don't see how someone steeping outside of the social construct of what manhood is is detrimental to the black community.
Oh no he/she/whatever isn't the only one. There is a nice (sarcasm) group of members who should never speak on anything other than Britney Spears' tampon unless they actually do their research on the genre!
