True, I don't get scared afterwards but I don't think this logic makes much sense at all. Not to mention that's very subjective. I know people who are still terrified by movies to this day.
With The Conjuring, I can recognize that it was "scary" even if I didn't think so. There are many movies that are "scary." But Evil Dead doesn't even seem to try to be scary. I couldn't legitimately see anyone watching it and being legitimately scared--that's all I'm saying.
Was it an entertaining horror? Yes. But I just think it's being overhyped when it didn't even attempt to scare in my opinion.
You pretty much say everything I want to say but can't because I suck at explaining things and how I feel about things
The Exorcist is such a classic. You have to think about when it was made. I really don't understand how some people don't find it scary It scares me more than anything that's came out in the last 10 years
The Exorcist is boring and overrated
The best classic horror movie is Halloween

I watched the Conjuring last night and it was really good.
I want some really good scary movies that are semi-recent (2010-present).
I love Insidious, Cabin In The Woods, and the Conjuring. Those are really good ones.
